It’s Tough to Have Parent’s Who Care
When I was a small child, and went out to play,
I would sometimes not mind, and wander away.
I wanted to go where, little dangers were found,
Instead of staying home, on my safe little ground.
But my parents would find, and punish me there,
Oh, it’s so tough to have, loving parents who care.
As I began to grow up, and became a lady so fair,
My proud parents continued, to love and to care.
I didn’t have all the freedoms, I wanted so much,
To come and go, stay out late, to party and such.
But I still did some things, causing my parents despair,
Oh, it’s so tough to have, loving parents who care.
Yet life is always so full, of little problems it seems,
And it’s so hard to do, all the things of my dreams.
It’s at trying times like these, when problems abound,
That my parents can soothe, and help me rebound.
Yes, when troubles surround me, and I’m in despair,
Oh, it’s so great to have, loving parents who care.
