Proof Thru Prophecy “Anchored in the Word of God”

On this site, you will find over 200 concentrated, non-diluted Bible Studies to explore,

as well as several proofs of the validity of the Christian Bible and its contents!

Dedicated to Spreading the Word of God

What is the purpose of this site?

These studies are taken from papers and books that I have written in the period of 1994 - 2020 to teach in Sunday morning Bible study classes. As I wrote and taught the classes, I always felt that I was clearly being led by the Holy Spirit from topic to topic.

A few months after, I would begin preparing to teach a new topic I would notice that a few notable Bible teachers around the country had been led to the same topics.

God has a purpose in doing that. Now as I look back over what I have written and taught over the last 25 years, I have discovered a clear theme that I had not been aware of during the process. The bottom line theme in nearly everything that I have written has centered in the person of Jesus Christ. This includes my topics on the plan that the Father had for Jesus even before creation.

My primary purpose in creating this site was to document my lifelong search for truth. In my 38-year career with DOD and DOD contractors, I had various titles including mathematician, physicist, systems analyst, systems engineer, senior scientist, etc. What are those employed in these fields generally looking for? They are searching for ultimate truth, for answers to difficult questions in many different fields.

They are also looking for proof for whatever discoveries that they may find. In the late 80s and early 90s, my focus gradually began to change from looking for new discoveries to help in the defense of our country to look for new discoveries in defense of the Christian faith. I basically used the same skill-set in both endeavors.

Thus, I would say that my purpose for this website is to document my findings over 30 years of research for new discoveries and for truth in the things of God. The discoveries of research scientists require proof before they are accepted as truth.

Likewise, in my opinion, the discoveries of religious researchers should also require proof before they are accepted as truth. But how can a religious researcher discover proofs of his discoveries? I believe that I have found several ways to provide those proofs. What are some of those ways?

Studies

These studies in one way or the other deal with Jesus’ activity in the following periods of history and even into the future:

  • God’s plan for man and for Jesus, which was conceived even before the creation of the universe.
  • Jesus’ personal earthly interactions with man during the Old Testament period; He was mentioned over 200 times and had mutliple appearances.
  • The multitude of other ways in which Jesus was clearly presented in the Old Testament.
  • The over 300 prophecies of Jesus’ first coming presented in the Old Testament and their fulfillment; this includes how the Apostles and the early church made these a central part of their ministry.
  • Jesus’ gospel on earth including his teachings and the ways in which both he and the Apostles presented them; this includes a study of Jesus’ parables and the surprising theme that went throughout the parables; nearly everyone misses this theme.
  • Jesus’ future return to earth in two stages. This centers around a future 7-year period of tribulation that is presented in the book of Revelation. The main purpose for this 7-year period is to prepare the world for the future return of Jesus to earth at the end of the 7 years, where he will remain for a period of 1000 years as King of kings and Lord of lords.

This 7-year period begins with an event wherein Jesus rewards every single person throughout history who has believed in and followed him with a new eternal body to house their spirits. He then immediately takes them to heaven. As a result of this event and the witness of others, millions of additional people on earth will become believers in and followers of Jesus. With about 3 years remaining in the 7-year period Jesus also rewards these new believers with eternal bodies and snatches them up to heaven.

The last 3 ½ years of this tribulation period will be the most disastrous period in the history of the earth. At the end of the 7 years, Jesus returns to earth at his Second Coming to save the earth from total destruction. He then renews the earth and begins his Millennial Reign on earth. All of the details of this are presented in great detail, in plain language, on this website.

  • The eternal state which will last for eternity with Jesus as the Bridegroom and his believers of all ages as his Bride. This all takes place in a new heaven and a new earth. We will also present the details of this as they are shown in the Bible.

These studies are broken into 14 topical areas, and each area is full of answers to some of life’s most difficult questions. Many of life’s simplest questions are also addressed since God’s answers to these questions often vary widely from the answers that are presented by the world in general. I am a retired mathematician/physicist who was born to be naturally inquisitive and somewhat skeptical. I needed proof before I would believe and accept answers to many questions.

Proof Thru Prophecy

That is what led to the title of this website, Proof thru Prophecy. God said in the Christian Bible that he had ways of proving who he was and what he said. Many of those proofs are presented on this site. A few of the questions that are addressed include the following:

  • Who is Jesus and what is his gospel? Was Jesus the God of the Jews in the Old Testament? Did Jesus appear bodily on earth over 200 times in the Old Testament?
  • How can we understand the Trinitarian nature of God? Are we supposed to have fear of the Lord?
  • What is truth? Does the truth of God differ significantly from the truth of the world?
  • Why did God create the universe?
  • What is God’s ultimate plan for mankind?
  • When will the universe as we know it come to an end?
  • Will there be clear signs that the end is approaching? Were the majority of Jesus’ parables focused on the end times?
  • Did God predestine some things to happen or is everything that takes place simply the result of free will?
  • Does God have clearly laid out requirements for entering heaven for eternity? What are those requirements? How can I be certain that I am included?
  • Is there really a place called hell and an angel named Satan? Has he always existed or was he created?
  • What is sin and how can we recognize it? Does God sometimes discipline us?
  • Why do bad things happen to good people?
  • Is there proof that the Bible was really inspired by God? How did we get the Bible? Is it literally true?
  • Were angels created beings? Can they appear on earth? Does everyone have a guardian angel? Are some angels evil?
  • How does God use Bible prophecy to prove who he is? Are there clear and provable examples of this? Was prophecy an elementary teaching in the early church?

These are just a few of the many interesting and sometimes difficult questions that will be addressed on this site. There are also a couple of other topics that you might find interesting. These are:

  • A group of inspirational poems that were designed to help us deal with difficult situations; some are aimed at teens while others are aimed at adults. A couple of introspective and a couple of silly or cute poems are also included.
  • A group of ten prescriptions for healing in common areas of human need presented in the Bible by the “Master Physician” himself.

References

My studies are most often topical in nature as I seek answers to my deeper questions. Since I believe the Bible in its original languages to be the only Book in the world that is completely and absolutely reliable and true, that is where I want to go for answers. I have certainly read a large number of books on Biblical topics over the years and have a fairly large library. I have purposely chosen to read books that take different sides and perspectives on Biblical issues.

The question that ensues is which do I believe? As an inquisitive scientist, my conclusion has been that I must do my own study and come to my own conclusions.

When I sit down at my computer to do a study, I am armed only with the few tools that I mentioned above and a passion to find an answer that I can defend. I study cover to cover in an attempt to be thorough and don’t mind studying for 8-10 hours a day for as many days as it takes to complete my search for an answer. Again, I currently use the NIV Bible and other study aids that can be found at www.blueletterbible.org.

When I used a reference from a particular book on this site I would reference the book and author in the general place that I made the reference. There are a few Christian authors that have been my favorites over the years and from whom I have gotten key insights into the Bible. These include:

  • David Reagan of Lamb and Lion Ministries
  • Chuck and Nancy Missler of Koinonia House
  • Perry Stone of The Voice of Evangelism
  • Ron Rhodes of Reasoning from the Scriptures Ministries
  • John Hagee of John Hagee Ministries
  • Grant R. Jeffrey and Rabbi Jonathan Cahn
