Poems to Help Believers Keep the Faith
IT’S O.K.
It’s O.K. to be just O.K., after all, God made most people to be that way,
But it’s not O.K. to feel you can’t compete, no matter what others might say.
It’s O.K. to have a strong desire for the opposite sex; but please wait,
It’s not O.K. to act out those desires with anyone but your life’s mate.
It’s O.K. to have the wealth of this world, and to own many a sixpence,
But it’s not O.K. to gain that wealth at another person’s expense.
It’s O.K. to drink; after all, Paul told Timothy to drink a little wine for his health,
But it’s not O.K. to drink to excess, lest you lose your share of God’s wealth.
It’s O.K. to have feelings of anger when others speak or act falsely against you,
But it’s not O.K. to seek revenge or return slanderous words that are not true.
It’s O.K. to be in the world and to celebrate all of it’s commercial holidays,
But it’s not O.K. to be part of the world that accepts Satan’s ways.
It’s O.K. to disagree as long as we are using the Word of God as our guide,
But it’s not O.K. to cause dissention or we risk not having God on our side.
It’s O.K. to hate the sin that causes us to suffer and experience great loss,
But it’s not O.K. to hate the sinner, for one day we’ll stand before the Big Boss.

Those who live like this will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
But true believers are washed clean of their sins, are declared innocent (justified) and seen as holy by God (sanctified), all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
