Poems to Help Believers Keep the Faith

Forgive and Forget

Seventy times seven, if it wasn't for that,
we surely would not be worthy of Heaven.
For some of the things we repeatedly do,
we don't like ourselves and just seem to get blue.
Repeated mistakes make us feel so dumb,
Like the devil has us right under his thumb.
We need an AA like meeting for us sinners,
where God can forgive and send us home winners.
Forgive and forget; it's God the Father’s way,
and should be our way, to show true love today!

Seventy times seven, if it wasn't for that,
we surely would not be worthy of Heaven.
It doesn’t matter how hard we might try,
we can't work our way into the sweet bye and bye.
For God says He paid the ultimate price,
when He let His Son make the great sacrifice.
With that done, in essence He’s already forgot,
for it's thru Christ's gift that salvation was bought.
Forgive and forget; it's God the Father’s way,
and should be our way, to show true love today!
