Poems to Help Believers Keep the Faith
Faith Without Works Is Dead
If you’re ever stranded as the sea waves roar,
And are afraid to put your oars in the water,
Just pray to the Lord, and row toward the shore,
For faith without works is dead!
Wait upon the Lord, for he is an awesome force,
But if he doesn’t seem to have a quick answer,
Just pray without ceasing while charting your course,
For faith without works is dead!
Try always to balance your desires and actions,
With brotherly love and concern for God’s will,
Just pray for adjustments as you avoid Satan’s factions,
For faith without works is dead!
God expects us to use our talent and our skill,
To produce a harvest overflowing with fruit,
And we can only do that with a persistently grateful will,
For faith without works is dead!
Then God who has promised to reward us one day,
As we stand before his Son at our judgment,
Will bless us with gifts when he replaces our body of clay,
For our faith and our works were not dead!!!!!!!
