A DETAILED SEQUENTIAL ORDERING OF KEY TRIBULATION EVENTS EMPHASIZING EARLY, MID AND LATE TRIBULATION PERIODS WITH EXTENSIVE SCRIPTURAL REFERENCES

  • FIRST 3 ½ YEARS OF THE TRIBULATION (SEALS, TRUMPS 1-4)

  • The rapture of the church, Luke 17:22-37, 1 Thess 4:13-17
  • The sealing of the 144,000 Jews; a large number of Jews quickly become believers in Jesus as a result of the rapture; they are all sealed, Rev 7:3-8.
  • The quick appearance of the 2 witnesses on earth, including the 144,000; they prophesy on earth for 3 ½ years, Rev 11:3-6.
  • An attack on Israel by a small group of nations, Ezek 38:1-7
  • Ancient historical records seem to show that five of the mentioned countries were in the area occupied by the Scythians. This is in the area currently occupied by Turkey. These areas could have possibly extended into the current areas of southernmost Russia and Syria.
Proof Thru Prophecy
  • The attack sounds somewhat like a nuclear attack, Ezek 38:9, 16
  • There is a counter attack by Israel, Ezek 38:18-22; this passage sounds very much like the 2nd seal and trumpet judgments when an asteroid hits an ocean, Rev 6:3-4, 8:8.
  • Those allied with Israel are Western Europe (Tarshish) and Saudi Arabia (Sheba and Dedan), Ezek 38:13; this would also likely include the U.S.
  • The first revelation of antichrist; A Muslim leader of a country associated with the original Roman Empire will negotiate a 7 year peace treaty ending the short war. This leader will turn out to be the one we call the antichrist. The peace treaty likely includes an agreement to allow the Jews to rebuild their temple. Dan 9:24-27, Isa 14:24-26, Zech 14:21, Rev 11:7, 20:4.
  • God sends the first four seal and trumpet judgments upon the earth, Rev 8:6-13

  • NEAR AND SHORTLY AFTER MID-TRIBULATION (SEALS,TRUMPS 3-5)

  • The second revelation of antichrist; The antichrist goes into the newly reconstructed temple in Jerusalem and declares himself to be God; he then declares war on Israel and reigns over Israel for 3 ½ years, Dan 9:24-27, 7:24-26, 2 Thess 2:3-4, Matt 24:15-16, Rev 11:1-2.
  • Satan and his angels are thrown out of heaven and down to earth; they are incensed, Rev 6:8, 8:10-12, 9:1-2, 12:9-10.
  • Satan is allowed to release evil angels held in the Abyss by God, Rev 9:1-2.
  • Satan, the antichrist and false prophet use the evil angels from the Abyss to administer the mark of the beast over a period of 5 months, Rev 9:1-11, 13:15-18; This takes place in the 5th trumpet judgment and starts shortly after mid-tribulation.
  • Christians, those who believe in Jesus, are taken captive and placed in confinement by the evil angels; God says they should go patiently, with faith and endurance, Rev 13:10, 14:9-12, 16:2.
  • Satan and the evil angels from the Abyss next go off to attack those Jews in hiding in Jordan; God intervenes and sends the evil angels back to the Abyss, Rev 12:13-16, Dan 11:41, Isa 63:1-6.
  • Satan is very angry and goes back to Jerusalem to kill those Christians who had been taken captive since they would not take the mark of the beast; this included the two witnesses, the 144,000 believing Jews, etc., Rev 12:17, 13:15.
  • The Christians in captivity are beheaded with the sword, then resurrected on the third day and raptured to heaven, Rev 11:7-13, 20:4; this seems to take place in the 5th - 6th trumpet judgments, Rev 6:9, 11:14.
  • A huge number of great tribulation saints then show up in heaven; this includes the 144,000 believing Jews, Rev 6:9-11, 7:9-17, 14:1-5, 15:2.
  • God sends trumpet judgments 3-6 upon the earth; trumps 5-6 begin at mid-trib and involve Satan, Rev 8:10-13, 9:1-12

  • NEAR & SHORTLY AFTER ARMAGEDDON & 2ND COMING (TRUMPS 6-7, BOWLS)

  • Antichrist calls for all of the armies on earth to converge on Israel to destroy the Jews, Rev 16:13-17.
  • Huge earthquakes; earth near total destruction just before the 2nd Coming, Rev 16:18-21, Matt 24:21-22, Rev 11:13-14.
  • An angel visits everyone on earth to present the gospel as one last chance for mankind, Rev 14:6-7.
  • The Second Coming of Jesus in great power, with his angels and bride with him, Rev 19:11-24, 5:10, 16:12-21.
  • Jesus prevails by merely speaking the word; he then reign as King of kings and Lord of lords, Rev 19:15, 21, 11:14-19.
  • The 1000 year millennium begins, Rev 20:1-7.
  • In Isa 66:8-24 we see things in the following order; the rebirth of Israel, the tribulation, the 2nd Coming, and millennial events; also see Zech 14.
  • God sends trumpet judgments 6-7 upon the earth, Rev 9:13-21, 11:15-19, and the 7th Seal judgment and all 7 of the bowl judgments to coincide with the 7th trumpet judgment as part of the final tribulation judgment.
